Mo

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Simone goes by Mo, and it fits her to a T.  All I wanted to do the entire session was butter her up and take a big bite of such chubs!  She is the living michelin baby!  I stopped trying to keep track of the rolls after awhile.  Mom was smart to get photos of Mo when she was still so chubby, because someday don’t we all wish back all of that baby fat?  My son went from chubby cheeks as a baby, to lean and skinny and CRAZY busy!

Mo was the easiest baby in the world.  I am seriously so lucky to work with such incredible babies (and moms!)  Have I said lately how much I love my job??

I didn’t edit this one at all, but I had to put it on here because it was so hilarious to me.  If babies could talk, wouldn’t you think Mo was saying, “Are we done yet?!”

What an angel of a baby!  I mean, come on!  She’s the first baby who has ever worked the camera like she did.  Do you see that cute shoulder nudge?  Aren’t only girls 16 and up suppose to know how to flirt like this???  Mom and Dad, lock her down, hold on tight!  Miss M is going to be a heartbreaker.  Mom specifically wanted some yummy closeups of M.  I agree…someday, they will look back at these pictures and nearly be able to squeeze such cute cheeks straight through the photograph.  I’m so glad I got my hands on such sweetness!

M’s session was right around Valentine’s Day, so we had to do something lovey.

Best Friends

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

When my sister called me up with an idea of photographing her kids with their best friends (which happen to all be from the same adorable family) I was all for it!  Ideas started swirling around in my head, and before we knew it, we were heading to a park in NY with 8 kids in tow.  Veronica, my sister, and Jamie were so patient and kept the other kids busy while I was focusing on some of the other ones.

I know how very special it is to have good friends, especially for children.  It makes the biggest difference!  I hope that they can look back on these pictures with big smiles on their faces!

Stewart Family

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

It’s easy to see how this family was so fun to photograph.  Talk about photogenic!  Lisa is a dear friend, and I was totally excited to do their first family photos.   I just loved this location, and I hope to go back for future shoots in the upcoming year.  Little “C” was such a good boy, smiling for the camera, and telling me all about his red fire truck, which he gladly rode up and down this hill.  Coming down was more fun than going up :)

Future Athlete

Little 2-1/2 yr old “W” thrives off of sports.  It was evident within the first few minutes of chasing him around and watching him swing his bat, and then run as if there were bases set up in the grass.  To top it off, he slid into “home plate.”  So adorable.  By the end of the shoot, his face was turning pink from all of his exertion:)

“W” was one of my first toddler shoots when I started up last year, so it was a true pleasure to see him again, all “grown up” and yet still so very attentive to the camera.  I wish he could give my own son some pointers about how to look at a camera!

Where’s that gorgeous smile???

I had the privilege of photographing Mason when he was 9 months old, and man oh man!  what a difference three months makes on the lives of little munchkins!  I made sure to have the right lens on for him because I knew he’d keep me on my toes…and he certainly lived up to my expectation!  He is just the cutest little man out there!  Happy 1st Birthday, Mason!!

I don’t care how repetitive I might seem by always doing these “leggy” shots, but I think they are so unique in their own way.  For instance, in my session with Norah, she’s gently playing with the flowers…with Mason, he was seriously being caught red-handed putting dirt in his mouth.   Love it.

Mini-Session with Norah

Tuesday, July 14th, 2009

One of my sweet friend’s birthday dinner is just around the corner, and I always try to give different gifts with each friend.  There is a group of about 9 girls who have met in different ways over the past year or so which has turned into the greatest mom’s group/playdate for our kids.  My son is always anxious to see them each week.  It’s even cuter now that he is finally calling them my their names, and not just, “eh.”  I happened to meet two of these wonderful friends at the local library last August, at the most random time of day (I swear it was somewhere around dinner time, or shortly thereafter) and all of our toddlers kept getting into each other’s toys and books.  We all got talking, and I knew in an instant that these moms were gems.  Such selfless people with extremely big hearts.  And that’s how I was introduced to our playgroup:)

Long story, sorry!  Norah, in everyway possible, is going to be a CEO of something someday.  She is strong-willed, determined, and loves to lead.  I think it is hilarious that her favorite toys are the ones you pull on a string and they waddle behind.  Ironic??  :)

So, although I had to tell my friend a sliver of my idea, she won’t see any of these pictures until her birthday celebration on Saturday night.  I’ve been eyeing this little grassy/weedy knoll (which ended up giving me huge rashes up and down both legs.  Itchy!  But soooo worth it!) and it turned out to be the most beautiful place!  See for yourself!

I was I had my camera at hand when he saw the suckers I brought to bribe/use in his session.  He didn’t need any prompting to dig in, and tear that sucker to shreds!lollipop-copy

Carter session

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Doesn’t he bring a smile to your face just by looking at this picture?  He was quite the model and even said “Thank You” at the end of the session without being prompted or anything!  Who does that?! :)  Carter does!  More pictures to come, including his feast with the giant sucker!img_3129-copy-copy
